FME Form (formerly FME Desktop)

Program FME® can read and write spatial data from / to a wide range of formats supported - currently there are more than 400 with every new version added. the program can be integrated into all the most widely used GIS and CAD applications (ArcGIS, MapInfo, AutoCAD, Microstation, ...). But this is much more than just a converter. With this tool, you can intervene during the conversion really deep into the structure of data and transfers can be largely automated. This saves you the time that you previously devoted to subsequent adjustments to the converted data.

FME Desktop
Easy to Use

After a short learning FME Form becomes intuitive and you are able to author workflows in minutes. FME Form features:

  • A graphical user interface.
  • Drag-and-drop transformer tools.
  • Several tutorials and comprehensive help.
  • Data visualization capabilities.
Time-Saving Functionality
Workflows run in the background without the need for manual interaction - freeing you to work on other tasks. Reusable workspaces and pre-designed templates cut down on workflow configuration time.
Absolutely No Coding Required
FME Form is designed for use by all levels of technical expertise and incredible transformation workflows can be configured without any knowledge of coding.

Components

FME Workbench

Everything FME, whether via FME Form or FME Flow, starts in this authoring environment. Use it to configure and run your transformation workflows.

To work with the data you have more than 400 transformers that you can insert into the workflow. It is not necessary to write the result of the conversion to the hard drive until it is all properly set. Data can be transferred in batch.

FME Data Inspector

Inspect your data's attributes and geometry. This tool makes it easy to understand data structure - before, after and during translation.

In addition to the geometry of objects, you can view the attribute table, the system attributes and coordinates of nodes. As a background map for viewing data, you can choose one of the available Tile servers.

FME Quick Translator

Quick converter that converts data between data formats and coordinate systems.

The application is intended mainly for cases where you want to convert data from format A to format B and do not want to loose time with complex settings.
